Made by Adidas, from 100% polyester, the Benfica Home Replica Football Shirt was released for the 2011/12 Portugal Primeira Liga season, having finished the previous campaign as runners-up.
A traditional red offering is given an injection of prestige with gold piping along the sides and sleeves edges, along with a white v-neck collar and three stripes running along the shoulders. The Benfica badge is stitched onto the left chest and incorporates two stars representing Benfica's European Cup titles in 1961 and 1962.
Across the middle of the shirt the tmn sponsor is printed in white whilst below the collar on the reverse side the Cerveja Sagres sponsor is printed in white.
Utilising Adidas innovative ClimaCoolŪ technology, the shirt helps to keep players and fans alike cool and dry for when the action really starts to heat up. To assist with cooling the body, ventilation panels feature down the sides of the shirt and wrap around the reverse side.
As a subtle finishing touch, inside the collar is a printed reference celebrating the 50th anniversary of Benfica's European glory in the early 1960's.
