Previously playing in a white home shirt, the change in colour came about in only 2004 so that the Austrian kit no longer resembled the Germany national version. This new edition represents the colous of their national flag and signals a new generation of Austrian football.
Made by Puma, from 100% polyester, the Austria Home Football Shirt has been released for the 2012/13 season and will be worn during their 2014 World Cup Qualifiers.
A solid red offering, the shirt is enhanced by touches of white under the arms and around the round-neck collar. The Austrian flag is stitched onto the left chest whilst the Puma log is stitched onto the opposite side and also features on the top of both short sleeves.
Designed to keep players and fans alike both dry and comfortable, this is achieved courtesy of Puma's USP moisture management which utilises breathable fabrics and makes for a lightweight fit.
As a subtle finishing touch, inside the collar the wording “immer wieder osterrreich” is printed in white, translating as “Again and Again Austrian”.
