Neither the Brazil football team or their kit itself needs much introduction, home pressure is already gaining momentum with Brazil set to host the 2014 World Cup.
Made by Nike, from 100% polyester, the Brazil Home Authentic Players Issue Football Shirt has been released for the 2011/12 season and is the one as worn by the players. An iconic and traditional vibrant yellow offering is complemented by a green band across the upper chest providing added ventilation.
Atop the Brazil printed crest, printed onto the left chest, are five green stars representing each of Brazil's famous five World Cup wins.
As a players issue shirt, extra ventilation is incorporated across the shoulders and short sleeves as well as down the sides of the shirt. The shirt has also been created with a new double-knit structure and yarns which means the shirt is 20% stronger than previous versions without compromising on fit and feel.
Utilising Nike's Dri-FIT technology, this ensures that both players and fans alike can stay cool when the action heats up. This is achieved by pulling sweat away to leave you dry and comfortable wherever it is worn.
In recognition of environmental concerns the fabric of the shirt has even been made with at least 96% recycled polyester, which equates to an average of thirteen recycled bottles per shirt. A small amount of cotton has also been added for enhanced comfort.
As a stylish finishing touch, the word “Brasil” is also printed in green on the reverse of the collar.
