Neither the Brazil football team or their kit itself needs much introduction, with home pressure already gaining momentum as Brazil are set to host the 2014 World Cup.
Made by Nike, from 100% polyester, the Brazil Away Authentic Players Issue Football Shirt has been released for the 2012/13 season and is the one as worn by the players. A stylish varsity royal offering is complemented by yellow bands on the sleeves and edged around the collar.
Atop the Brazil printed crest, printed onto the left chest, are five white stars representing each of Brazil's famous five World Cup wins.
As a players issue shirt, extra ventilation is incorporated across the shoulders and short sleeves as well as down the sides of the shirt. The shirt has also been created with a new double-knit structure and yarns which means the shirt is 20% stronger than previous versions without compromising on fit and feel.
Utilising Nike's Dri-FIT technology, this ensures that both players and fans alike can stay cool when the action heats up. This is achieved by pulling sweat away to leave you dry and comfortable wherever it is worn.
In recognition of environmental concerns the fabric of the shirt has even been made with at least 96% recycled polyester, which equates to an average of thirteen recycled bottles per shirt. A small amount of cotton has also been added for enhanced comfort.
As a truly unique finishing touch, when the yellow cuffs are turned over they reveal the wording "Nascido Para Jogar Futebol", aptly translated as "Born to Play Football" which epitomises the Brazilian football ethos.
