Created from a soft and ultra-thin microfiber material, the Evospeed 1 is one of the lightest football boots on the market and weighs in at just 198g (UK size 8). Designed to meet a criteria of “light, flex and fit”, this is the footwear worn by Puma athletes who deal in speed and is inspired by innovations used by the fastest man in the world, Usain Bolt.
The anatomically engineered one-piece outsole ensures stability and support, utilising high-tech materials to maximise flexibility and minimise weight. In addition the evoSPEED 1 also features an external heel counter for extra support whilst the new Puma evoAptoLast provides a snug and comfortable fit across the foot.
A subtle yet practical feature of the upper is the inclusion of a pimpled texture across the toes, allowing for increased friction to generate enhanced ball control and dribbling. Internally, the boot offers support and fit from the EverFitCAGE, a webbed print application which acts to cradle the foot around the lacing system.
Built for play across firm natural surfaces, moulded rubber tipped blades across the front and heel provide the perfect balance of power, traction and manoeuvrability in any playing position.
As with any new Puma footwear collection, a lot of buzz surrounds the design. This latest offering sees a silver tone accompanied by green lightening strikes along each side to further emphasise the speed aspect. To complete the look, touches of violet have been incorporated around the heel, ankle and laces for an overall design which fuses retro with futuristic.
